Dermatillomania
This represents one of the various manifestations of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Dermatillomania or skin picking disorder. It is a condition associated with distress and attempts to self soothe the nervous system by giving a sense of "control" over one's surroundings.
Medium: Digital, Procreate.
Process: The loose sketch helped define the composition, which was quickly followed up with reference photos for each subject. Flat colors fill in the refined sketch and the texture is painted over using a clipping mask.
